One of my FAVORITE mods is called Paranoia, and it's basically cryptids (plus some other stuff!) for your zoo.

ZTCDD also has some really cool mods like ambient animals! And there are HUGE directories of animals to download.

If you would like to comb through some of the topics, there are some downloads at ZetaBoards.

Zeta-Designs has some really cool plants and tank walls to download, and all of their mods are high quality.

I have not tried this, but it's very popular I just preferred to keep all of the original graphics.

The Radical Remake is a HUGE ZT2 mod that works to make the animals and biomes look more realistic.

The ZT2 Round Table has WAY more things than mods, but here people just mainly post about their own mods that they're making.

Be warned about this cite though, because to download big files, you have to sign up for an account (which I have not done).

NexusMods has a lot of dinosaur mods that I haven't tried.

Northern Skies has some great mods including some of the best mods for birds that you will EVER find, including the above gif of the kakapo (apart of the Aves mod on page 6).

And I'll say it again, always read about the possible bugs!.

Save every time before you download a mod, because sometimes when you first put them into the ZT2 game folder, it will crash the game.

Test every mod you download! You never know when one may not work and may mess up other stuff!.

Do not be discouraged by this, as many of them are still functional.

Most of these mods are from the early 2010s, or possibly around 2008, thus meaning that many of them may not work anymore, or the download links are broken.

If bugs are not listed or it says there are no bugs, it could still be very, very wrong about that. When you download mods, make sure (!!!) you read about the possible bugs of the mod.And in the same vein, know that you can delete the mod by simply deleting the file.
