If you're sure your mobo has the latest drivers (use latest bios too), allow the mobo to auto set everything and use the 'Normal' profile in EZ mode. The Realtek Audio drivers were updated to the latest via Slimdrivers (BF4 seems to need latest).

I had issues early on and part of the problem was the mobo drivers. I only use the bare minimum and do it via BF4 Editor. Those 'custom profiles' completely whacked my game. I know the PC isn't defective, I benchmark appropriately and play games like Metro last light and hitman absolution, even Far Cry 3 fine.ДЄh yep. Shanghai, Paracel Storm and Hainan Resort are FPS hogs, so that's not all that surprising to see lower FPS, but your 290 isn't running at its potential. Paracel storm as well, runs 49-75fps in TDM. I'll get 70-113 in rouge transmission, but then drop to 49-80 in Hainan resort. I can't keep the fps from dropping under 60. my 8350 at 4.6ghz and R9 290 with Mantle runs Shanghi at like 50-80 in much of the map. With that 290 you should be able to top mine quite easily and that 4gb will ensure no vram overflow although with the latest 14.4 drivers and patch I haven't any overflow. I can post the frame rate analysis and video if you want it. Using Mantle on Shanghai 64 player server I have the FPS capped at 74.99 and it rarely drops below 75 FPS.
